Hair Products and Tips: Spray the hair with a sea salt spray, and brush it through. Curl the entire head with a 1/2 inch curling iron; alternate curl directions as you head towards the back. After the hair is cooled, use a texture spray coupled with a strong hold hairspray like Amika’s Headstrong Spray, and begin pinning the hair towards the center of the head. Alexa added a colored extension to complete the look, which was curled prior to hairstyling, and placed and pinned onto the head as the updo was pinned into place.

Makeup Products: Make Up For Ever’s Black Gel Liner; Red Cherry Lashes; Make Up For Ever’s Flash Color Palette , MAC and Lit Cosmetics Glitters; MAC blush in “Peachykeen” and an Anastasia Brow Palette.

Betsy and her team did a fabulous job on our first wedding together last year. As a planner, it is always a stressor to work with new vendors and in particular hair and make up artists. Typically this is the one detail that is most inclined to cause a wedding day running late. Additionally, HMU is so personal to every woman and Bride, you would hate for them not to look like themselves and feel relaxed with their appearance.
